Ways to monetize your blog

how to monetize your blogFor bloggers when the word monetize is first heard we think of Adsense. Problem is, Adsense can be hard to get into but more importantly it is inferior to other forms of monetization in the profit it makes and the effect it has on dedicated viewers. Monetizing through Adsense is much easier then theses alternatives, but taking the more dedicated route does pay off. However, if after reading the alternatives you still want to take the Adsense way, check out how to get accepted by Adsense

Adsense Drives Customers away
Maybe its just me, but as a blogger it is difficult as ever to get views. I don't think i'm alone and i think everyone can agree that us blogger and other small website owners work hard for our views. if we work so hard and value our views so much then it would only be logical to try keeping them. Adsense does just the opposite of that, its gets rid of views. The main way you get paid by Adsense is by having people click on your ads. Once people click on the ads they are directed away from the page and that person may not come back. Each click on the ad is a potential viewer lost. Not only that but ads are annoying and an eyesore and can turn people away from coming back to your blog. Look at the most successful search engine for example, Google, its ad free.

Alternatives

So don't crowd your blog with ads, that's what we learned, well we still want to make some money right, luckily there are other ways. As discussed in detail in importance of blogging, by blogging often, with good content, we create a dedicated group of customers who develop trust in us and appreciate what we do. by giving them free, valuable information they gain a trust for us and an appreciation. By seeing that you create good trustworthy free content they will be more inclined to pay you for more because you have essentially proven yourself to them.

Book
At this point once you have a fan base who trusts you, you could go a variety of ways depending on your content. If your content is more word based and less on pictures and videos you could consider writing an eBook or book. You could grab from your blog a large portion of the content, improve on everything you grabbed from your blog, ad small things to it, along with revealing the best information. This you can talk about in your articles b saying something like,"and well talk about this more in my book when it comes out". You get the idea.
Kits
If your blog is based on crafts or building things kits would be easy to sell. Many people do not ave the small components to a project that are essential to completing it. finding them and selling them saves people allot of looking and guarantees their project will turn out like your

Homemade stuff
If your Blog is based on a trade or craft you could sell some of the things you showcase. An artist could sell birthday cards of their art, you could sell the jewelry you make or as i have many projects for kids on part of my blog i might sell elastic band guns made of wood

Selling products
someone on YouTube does this well. a YouTuber called the grand illusionist plays with many interesting toys and in every video he tells people where they can get them. I'm not sure if hes the one selling them but it would be easily profitable for him to direct them to his site where he buys the stuff and sells it for 30% more

Instructional.
When you show instructional and give people tricks or tips they are always wanting more. Once they have tried or used a few they developed your trust and see the usefulness. all that's next is to come up with a better one and tell them they can learn the full thing by paying

lessons
Again requiring fans you could also host a web seminar, or a non web seminar, or online lessons. Once people return over and over to your blog you are seen as a professional in their eyes and who better to learn from then the best
